Another Orbit

Well, here we go again. Today I completed the 32nd orbit around the blazing ball of fire that keeps our universe, universing. The awakening that a lot of people have at a year’s end doesn’t start and stop so quickly for me. It lasts all the way through my birthday on January 21st. This time was a bit different though. 31 was very hard for me. Coming into my last birthday I was on the heels of a miracle that required an uphill climb that only God himself could guide me through. And personally, it was rough. I made strides, had setbacks, put some practices in place, and learned how to put myself first in MAJOR ways, but 31 still took me down through there.
See the thing about me is that I have the vision, I just need the discipline and direction to execute it. Although I lacked in that area in 2022, I am all aboard the let’s do it train for 2023. That being said, I will not be missing as much this year (even though i’ve probably said this before right?) Writing brings me joy and I am ready to lean all the way.
In my absence, just know that God is still working in me and through me. I really have no reason and no time to complain. Out of all the bad in 2022 came so much good. I am forever grateful for the journey. I am continuing to intentionally put my health first, being intentional with making memories with my family, doing new things, going new places, and loving on my village. And one of the most important things that makes all that possible is seeing a therapist that gets me. Everything fell into place because I made the leap and did the work.
God is within me, I cannot fail. God walks beside me, I cannot fall. And I will stand taller than every wall that is built against me. I will embody the serenity God grants me and knock 32 out of the park.
